When it comes to popular culture in the UK, it’s our friends across the Atlantic who have arguably had the biggest impact on the way we do things. From food and sport, to shopping and celebrity culture, we often cast our eyes towards America.

Amongst the plethora of food we’ve brought to these shores from America, peanut butter and Oreos are two humble sweet treats that we’ve fallen in love with in the UK.

So, what better way to pay tribute to these delights than to rustle up a totally indulgent and decadent dessert which combines the two in perfect harmony?

Oh, the temptation!

Method

Now, when it comes to simplicity, this dessert packs some real bang for its buck. Begin by blending 400g of Oreos and pour in 118ml of melted butter, before packing it into a pie tin. Freeze this for 15 minutes then it’s time to move onto the filling. Start by mixing 100g of brown sugar with 400g of peanut butter and pouring this mixture onto the frozen base. Then it’s time to freeze the Oreo and peanut butter layers for 30 minutes. Finally, pour on a layer of melted dark chocolate and refrigerate for around 4 hours. Once set, you won’t need prompting to dive in!

Personal factory of perfect taste: built-in ovens

HomeMade shape The characteristic rounded shape is one of the most beneficial features of Gorenje ovens. Inspired by traditional wood-burning ovens, it enables hot air to move around freely. Since the food is heated evenly and from all sides, it is always perfectly done: crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
