ECO washing machines

Energy class A-10%

Most Gorenje washing machines use intelligent UseLogic® technology, which delivers A class energy-, wash- and spin performance. Continuous development aimed at reducing energy consumption as part of our ongoing commitment to the environment is proven by the best models which consume 10% less electric energy compared to energy class A.

UseLogic® technology

UseLogic® technology is based on innovative solutions, which automatically optimise the washing process, delivering significant energy and time savings. Intelligent sensor technology continuously monitors the purity of the water in washing machines and the amount of foam, and automatically takes care of additional rinsing where appropriate. In each cycle, the level of water is automatically adjusted for the type of load. This way, your clothes and fabrics are cleaned gently and efficiently, giving you optimum results each and every time.
Gorenje dryers also feature intelligent UseLogic® technology. Intelligent humidity sensors continually monitor the moisture content of your load and automatically adjust the time of drying accordingly. When the desired level of drying has been achieved, the dryer automatically ends the programme to prevent overdrying. According to the selected option, the items may be slightly damp or iron dry, partly dry, cupboard dry or extra dry. The current moisture content can be monitored on the display throughout the cycle.

Intelligent load sensor

The Premium models feature intelligent load sensors to ascertain the weight of the load in the washing machine. According to the actual weight of the load and the selected cycle, the washing machine automatically suggests the appropriate amount of detergent required. This can ensure to valuable savings by optimising your detergent use but never at the expense of your cleaning results!

Extra savings by connecting to hot water supply

Gorenje Premium and Exclusive washing machines now allow you to wash your laundry faster and with less power! A washing machine connected to hot water supply from the water mains will heat the water to the designated program temperature much faster. Hence, you will be able to save as much as 45 percent of energy! A solution friendly to the environment and your family budget.

Effective 4D soaking system

The 4D intensive soaking system enables the simultaneous intake of water, mixed with detergent, from the bottom, the top and both sides of the tub. This effectively shortens the required soaking time, which means that the overall time of doing the washing is also reduced. Special drum perforation featuring thousands of tiny holes ensures that even your most delicate items are handled gently and with care. The innovative 3D rib design as well as the special design of the glass on the porthole door ensure that irrespective of the variation in the washing rhythm the laundry always finds itself in the centre of the drum. Intensive soaking delivers outstanding results while ensuring lower water and energy consumption.

Mix

Various fabrics of similar colours, which used to be laundered separately in the past, can now be effectively washed at 30 °C in a single load. This way, there is no need to wait for a full load of a particular type of laundry to accumulate before doing the washing.

Quick Wash

The Quick Wash option allows you to further shorten the time of the most featured programmes. Typically, this option is very handy for less soiled laundry, generating additional savings in time and water. Gorenje’s fastest programme, Cotton, takes only 17 minutes to run, which means that your favourite clothes are done in no time at all.

Jogging

For lightly soiled, light loads of clothes used for recreational activities, or items that merely need freshening up, Gorenje has designed the quick wash Jogging programme at 40 °C.

Gorenje Eco Green tips - What can we do at home

  • Most loads don't need hot water, and 90% of the energy used by washing machines goes into heating. The higher the water temperature, the higher the cost to you and the planet.
  • Use lower temperature settings. Use warm or cold water for the wash cycle instead of hot (except for greasy stains), and only use cold for rinses.
  • For normally soiled white cottons, we can choose a special program at 60 ° C - instead of at 90 ° C - and we could save 40% of electricity. For less dirty laundry we could use a shorter program with low temperature washing and save up to 50% of electricity.
  • Load the washing machine to capacity when possible. Most people tend to underload rather than overload their washers. Washing one large load will take less energy than washing two loads on a low or medium setting.
  • Sometimes we wash our clothes for too long - extra energy is used, there's more wear and tear on the equipment (and clothes) and perhaps even extra water is wasted. Experiment with your wash settings, gradually cutting back on the cycle to find the sweet spot.
  • Do not use pre-washing treatments except in extremely dirty laundry. Electricity consumption by reducing  is at least 10%.
